Got Hi-D Data?

We’re Looking for Beta Users

We seek 25 experienced data analysts willing to learn about and try a cloud-based alpha version of a new software program.  We want your evaluative feedback on an alternative approach to data analysis.

A central feature of this approach is a high-dimensional coordinate system (D < 9) rendered on a two-dimensional surface.  Instead of slicing and dicing, you can see and share the patterns in  high dimensional data directly.  An important consequence is that these graphs extend spatial reasoning into the same high-dimensional realm people use to think and talk about quantitative problems of real-world complexity.  Graphs have many uses; an immediate application is evaluating how well a given model represents the data patterns they are meant to capture.

Our initial focus is on three common analytic tasks: describing a collection of objects, distinguishing categories of objects, and explaining something in terms of something else.  These tasks run parallel to clustering, classification, and regression problems.  While their analytic methods are well established, the statistical results they spit out often mean little to the clients and decision-makers they are meant to serve.  This new approach expresses the answers to these problems in language (English) that people more widely understand.

In exchange for your feedback we are willing to work with you directly and help in any way we can.  As a founding alpha user, we can offer free extended use of the program.  We see this as a ground floor opportunity to enhance how and what people learn from data.  To be considered as an alpha user, click the “Contact Us”, and briefly state your analytic background, the subject domain(s) of the data you work with, and your contact information.
